Makin' a Gangsta' Ass Movie
Adventures in Hollyhood - Season 1
DESCRIPTION
Now that they are in Hollywood, Juicy J and DJ Paul are ready to get their Spielberg on! The two want to write and produce their own movie while they are still hot on the scene. They toss around ideas and conclude that that they would like to put together a film that incorporates all genres, since they feel that is missing in the movie business. They send out their assistants, Big Triece and Computer, to find books explaining the proper procedure for writing screen plays, scripts and pitching and shopping around movies. Big Triece and Computer head to a used bookstore and find some books they think will be helpful. Later, Big Triece gets a call from Three 6's manager, saying that the boys have a meeting lined up with a very prominent production company to pitch their idea. The meeting is scheduled for 2:30 in the afternoon, and the producer is a stickler for punctuality. Unfortunately for Three 6, Big Triece notes that the meeting is at 3:30 -- making the boys an hour late. At their meeting, the producer is less than impressed by their punctuality and movie pitch for "Streets of Memphis: A Gangster Ass Movie." He tells them to develop the pitch more -- incorporating a stronger story with a beginning, middle, and end. Concerned with their assistants' performance, Three 6 and their manager decided to enroll Big Triece and Computer in "Beyond the Red Carpet," a celebrity assistant school. So while Three 6 is working on movie ideas, Big Triece and Computer get schooled in assisting the stars... kind of. Although much is taught to them about the art of assisting, they are not the best listeners. Needing advice in the movie business, Juicy J and DJ Paul meet with a friend in the industry who gives the boys some critiquing. After that, they feel a little more confident and meet with director Joel Schumacher. To help with the pitch, they bring along some ladies in bikinis who serve Joel slabs of Memphis-style barbeque ribs while holding up mock movie posters. He tells the boys that he likes their movie idea and thinks that they really have something. Later, when Joel's office calls their Hollyhood mansion, a confused Big Triece answers -- saying that there is no Schumacher there and hangs up. It looks like Big Triece needs a little more assistant schooling.
